TIRAP CELEBRATES 75 YEARS INDEPENDENCE DAY

Khonsa August 15, 2021 :- Along with the nation, Tirap District across all the seven Administrative Headquarters celebrated 75th Independence Day as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with various Cultural and sports items. On the occasion Banners on “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” 75 of years Independence was displayed in several locations viz : 4 banners in Khonsa town, 1 banner each in every Administrative Headquarters to mark successful celebration of 75th Independence Day.
At Khonsa H/Qs – Hon’ble Minister for PHE&WS, DoTCL& IT etc Wangki Lowang hoisted the National Tricolour on 75th Independence Day in presence of Hon’ble 55-Khonsa East MLA Wanglam Sawin, DC Tirap Taro Mize, SP Tirap Kardak Riba, CO 6 Assam Rifles Col. A.K. Das, 36Bn CRPF Commandant S.R. Behura, ZPC Tirap Miss Chathong Lowang, ZPM Khonsa Block Wanghong Panaka, Veer Nari Smti Chasan Dada, W/o. Martyr Hangpan Dada, HoDs, PRIs, Ex-Armies, GBs, Students and Public of Khonsa under the purview of Covid-19 protocols. It is worthwhile to mention here that the District Administration Tirap is being undertaken various programme like 6 kms Footmarch Rally from Veterinary farm CK road to Taxi Stand, Khonsa Bazar, Mass cleanliness of offices and residential buildings surroundings, trees plantation, Gandhiji statue will be erected in the heart of the Khonsa town to mark “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” since last 9th August, 2021. Hon’ble PHE&WS minister lauded District Administration, Tirap Police, Assam Rifles, CRPF and security agencies for working tirelessly to restore peace and development in the district.
While hoisting the National Tricolour on the occasion – Chief Guest cum Minister for PHE&WS, DoTCL & IT etc Wangki Lowang, paid homage to all the heroes who sacrificed their life for the nation. The Minister for PHW&WS, IT & DoTCL Wangki Lowang lauded the Prime Minister India Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu for launching various schemes viz : Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKAY) in which free rice are being provided to BPLs, Health Insurance of Rs. 5 lakh under CMAAY (Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana), Loan to local Entrepreneur under DDUSY (Deen Dayal Upadhaaya Swavalamban Yojana), Vocal For Local, PM Kisan, Grant of scholarship and stipend, Roads infrastructure, Water supply in every household under JJM, UJALA Yojana, PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana), Chief Minister Bal Seva Scheme and many others in Agriculture and Horticulture sectors. The Minister urged all to avail facility under PM/CM Flagship schemes to live a self-reliance (Aatmanirbhar).
On the occasion, Hon’ble PHE&WS, IT & DoTCL Minister Wangki Lowang acknowledged and congratulated the Sate Government Gold Medal Awardee Tirap SP Kardak Riba and State Government Silver Medal Awardee SI Ongsa Rongrang of Police department on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. Besides, the minister also acknowledged and lauded the Mighty 6 Assam Rifles that the 6 Assam Rifles has been awarded with the prestigious and coveted Director General Assam Rifles Banner 2021 having been adjudged the best Assam Rifles Battalion amongst all 46 AR units. The 6 Assam Rifles unit has also been awarded with one Shaurya Chakra & two Sena Medals for outstanding bravery in conduct of Counter Insurgency Operations.
Earlier, Hon’ble PHE&WS, DoTCL & IT Minister Wangki Lowang inaugurated Welcome Gate to Khonsa near Petrol Pump, Khonsa in presence of 55-Khonsa East MLA Wanglam Sawin, DC Tirap Taro Mize, work agency Urban Development & Housing and Contractor Sakoi Bangsia.
Soon after the inauguration of Welcome Gate to Khonsa Hon’ble Minister Wangki Lowang Laid Foundation Stone for Construction of General Hospital, Khonsa y in presence of HMLA Wanglam Sawin, Tirap DC Taro Mize, Dr. N. Lowang, DMO, Er. Wangpong Ronrang, EE(PWD), ZPC Miss Chathong Lowang, HoDs in which the executing engineers saw the map of General Hospital, Khonsa before Chief Guest Hon’ble Minister Wangki Lowang, HMLA Wanglam Sawin and DC Tirap Taro Mize. While visiting the site for General Hospital, Khonsa – the PHW&WS minister asked the Executing Engineers to monitor the ongoing works to ensure proper implementation of construction work of GHK as per drawing and guidelines.
A colourful Patriotic dances/ Songs, Jaz Ban 6 Assam Rifles, and Sports item marked the day great successful.
At Borduria Circle HQs : Along with the rest of the country, Borduria Circle also celebrated the 75th Independence Day 2021, on the occasion Hon’ble MLA 57-Borduria-Bogapani A/C Wanglin Lowangdong in presence of CO Borduria Lim Modi, Adv. Chakhin Sarah Wanglat, ZPM Borduria Block, Smti Chasuam Wangchadong, Chairperson Nocte Women Association, OC I/c.Police Station Borduria Nokpam Lowang, officers and staff of various department under Borduria Administration, APP, PRIs, Chiefs, GBs, Teachers, Students and Public of Borduria circle.
While greetings the people on the occasion – Chief Guest & HMLA Wanglin Lowangdong appreciated Police department posted at Police Station, Borduria for playing pivotal role in providing security to the nearby villages and for excellent performance on 75th Independence as Guard of Honour. Lowangdong paid homage to all the freedom fighter and urged the youth of Tirap to learn from their teachings. He also announced to provide PA set and Generator for the Circle Headquarter, Borduria and important infrastructure for upgradation of three PHCs viz : Kapu, Borduria and Paniduria will be initiated from SIDF. Lowangdong urged all to avail free Covid vaccination from nearest Covid Vaccination Centre to live a healthy life.
At Dadam Circle H/Qs : Hon’ble 56-Khonsa West MLA Chakat Aboh hoisted the National Tricolour on the occasion of 75th Independence Day in presence of CO Dadam Pik Tayom, ZPM Dadam Block Jamwang Lowang, Chiefs, GBs, PRIs, CRPF, APP, officers and staff of various department under Dadam Administration. While greetings the people of Dadam circle – Chief Guest cum HMLA Chakat Aboh praised the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for their great contribution to the district in the form of free rice distribution to BPL under PMGKY and free LPG connection under PMUY schemes, free covid vaccines, huge funds for covid containment and other works despite of Covid-19 crisis. She also lauded Administration, Police, Health departments and PRI members Covid-19 Frontline warriors for their best efforts to contain the covid-19 pandemic and insisted the public to cooperate with Covid-19 of the district in combating the dreaded Covid-19 Pandemic. The Dadam Administration had awarded 22 individuals of the circle for their best performance in public delivery service during the Covid pandemic period. Chief Guest cum MLA Chakat Aboh also to highlighted the various schemes and achievement being taken place in her constituency.
At ADC HQs, Deomali : Deomali Block ZPM Wangphoon Lowang unfurled the National Flag on 75th Independence Day at ADC H/Q, Deomali in presence of ADC Penga Tato, Smti Chango Lowang, W/o. Wangki Lowang, Minister PHE&WS, IT & DoTCL, Shri Akan Regon, SDO, APP, Officers and staff of government departments. While greetings the people of Deomali Chief Guest cum ZPM Deomali Wangphoon Lowang highlighted various schemes under central and state flagship program in which he urged people of Deomali circle to avail schemes like Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, JJM, Free LPG connection for BPL beneficiary under PMUY (Pradhan Mantri Ujala Yojana), Health Insurance for Rs. 5 lakh under CMAAY (Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana). Lowang appealed all to plant trees and discourage deforestation, adding that forest department need to make public awareness about global warming and climate change and go for plantations. The Chief Guest Wangphoon Lowang appealed the youths to shun use of drugs and Kaani and advised them to adopt sports activities to make their career bright future. To mark the occasion, free LPG were distributed by Forest department which were handed over by Chief Guest cum ADC Penga Tato and Smti Chango Lowang, W/o.Shri Wangki Lowang, Minister PHE&WS, IT & DoTCL.
At EAC H/Q Lazu : On the eve of 75th Independence Day – the National Tricolour at EAC HQs Lazu was hoisted by Shri D.K. Thungdok, I/c. EAC as Chief Guest in presence of officers and staff of government departments under Lazu Administration, Chiefs, GBs, PRIs, NGOs, APP, Officers from Assam Rifles. While greetings the people of Lazu circle Chief Guest cum I/c. EAC D.K. Thungdok requested all pregnant womens and non vaccinated people to come forward and take the jab and make Lazu 100% vaccinated. He also spoke on “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” and its importance. Later Chief Guest D.K. Thungdok, I/c. EAC Lazu handed over appointment order and Gaon Buras Coat to newly appointed Gaon Buras of Pongkong and Longliang, he added that red coat is a symbol of trust, wisdom, mediator of government and public.
At Circle HQs Soha : ZPM Soha Block Sam Korok hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of 75th Independence Day in presence of CO Soha Dr. Balbin Kamlo, Chiefs, GBs, PRIs, Government employees under Soha Administration. While hoisting the National Tricolour Chief Guest cum ZPM Soha Sam Korok urged all the people of Soha area to come forward for Covishield vaccination, he added that Covid vaccination percentage in Soha circle is poor in compare with rest of circles of Tirap District. On the occasion, the local administration of soha and health department conducted Covid Vaccination Camp at Soha where good numbers of beneficiaries vaccinated with Covid vaccine.
At Bari-Basip Circle HQs : The national flag on the occasion of 75th Independence Day Celebration at Bari Basip Hq was hoisted by Khela-Bunting Block ZPM Tumwang Lowang, as Chief Guest in presence of CO Bari Basip Miss Nekong Perme, government employees, PRIs, Chiefs, GBs, CBOs of Bari Basip circle. On the occasion, the Chief Guest handed over appointment order and Red Coat to newly appointed Gaon Bura of Changnyak village Wangle Tante. Which was followed by trees plantation at Bari Basip H/Q office surrounding. Earlier, Chief Guest Tumwang Lowang, ZPM highlighted significant of Independence Day. (DIPRO)
